How can I verify that my vaporizer is authentic?
Locate the Product Authentication number on the product packaging. Please visit https://www.innokin.com/verify-device and follow the instructions to verify your product authenticity.
The vaporizer won’t turn on.
Connect the microUSB port to a quality power supply and ensure the device is charged. Quickly press the main side firing bar three times to power on the device and the screen should light up to indicate the device is powered on.
The vaporizer is not producing flavour or clouds.
Check that the coil is correctly inserted into the atomizer and that the atomizer is correctly attached. Ensure the attached atomizer is tightened to the 510 connector adequately. Check the female 510 connector for debris, e-liquid and condensation as well. Verify the recommended wattage of the coil and ensure that the vaporizer wattage is set correctly and appropriately for your atomizer.
The joystick is not clicking or responding to inputs.

What is the battery capacity (mAh) of the Proton Mini vaporizer?
The Proton Mini has an internal 3400mAh Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery.
What is Vape While Charging?
Vape While Charging is a feature commonly seen in our mods that allows you to vape while you are charging your device. Be advised that while this feature can be convenient, it’s not recommended to vape while charging a device that is extremely low on battery life. Wait until your battery indicator on the screen indicates at least a 40% partial charge or until the charging LED changes to a yellow color before you use this feature. If you Vape While Charging when the battery indicator on the screen shows a low overall charge, you will damage the overall lifespan of the battery.
What is Fast Charging? Can the Proton Mini use Fast Charging?
Yes. The Proton Mini is fully capable of 2Amp Fast Charging. Fast Charging is a feature seen in our premium devices which allow you to use a 2Amp wall charger and high quality microUSB cable to charge your device. 2A chargers charge devices much more quickly than standard 1A or .5A chargers. Make sure that your Innokin device is Fast Charging compatible before you charge your device with a 2A fast charger. Never leave your device unattended while charging.
What is the best way to charge an Innokin vaporizer?
Use a certified wall charger with a high quality microUSB cable, such as the cable provided with your Innokin Proton Mini.

Use a certified wall charger with a high quality microUSB cable. Monitor the device and verify that it is charging. Wait until the device is fully charged. Note: All batteries have a limited number of full charge cycles. A battery capacity may decrease based on charging and use over time. Note: Make sure that the device’s battery always has some amount of charge/power. Do not store a device with an empty battery as it may damage the overall lifespan of the battery.
What does Resistance (Ohm) mean?
The resistance of an atomizer coil is the amount of heat produced by the coil based on the battery voltage and wattage setting. The coil resistance should be printed on the side of the coil. Higher resistance coils tend to require less wattage, and low resistance “sub-ohm” (>0.9ohm) coils tend to require more wattage to produce vapor.
How do I adjust wattage?
For full operation instructions please consult the device’s Quick Start guide and user Manual. Power on your Proton Mini, attach the atomizer and then press and hold the joystick to the left or right for a few seconds. Once your wattage selection number is flashing, press and hold the joystick to the left or right to adjust your wattage selection up or down. Press the side firing bar to select the chosen wattage. Do not exceed the recommended wattage setting of your coil or it may be burned. If a coil is burned, the flavor will degrade and should be replaced immediately with a fresh coil.
What wattage should I use?
Check the atomizer coils for the recommended wattage range. Open the atomizer airflow and adjust to taste and preference. Begin at the lower wattage range and gradually increase your wattage selection to find your preferred levels of flavor and vapor. Do not exceed the coil’s recommended wattage range. If a coil is burnt, replace it immediately with a fresh coil.
Does the Proton Mini offer Temperature Control?
The Proton Mini features Innokin Temperature control technology. Temperature control reads the resistance of T.C. coils to provide a stable temperature output and prevent dry-hits of your wick. Temperature control requires Stainless Steel 316L, Titanium, NI200 or other TCR compatible coil materials to operate. Innokin temperature control is easy to operate. Simply attach a TCR compatible coil and select the correct coil material type and the Proton Mini will calibrate the resistance of the coil to ensure accurate Temperature Control. Check the coil for recommended temperature ranges and begin at the low end of the range and increase the temperature until you reach your preferred temperature and flavor.
My vaporizer is getting very hot.
If the vaporizer is becoming hot to touch, or showing another type of malfunction, discontinue using the device immediately. Disconnect the atomizer, unplug it from any charger or cables and store the vaporizer in a nonflammable environment, such as a fire retardant bag or container.

If the atomizer is becoming too hot, check the selected Wattage and ensure that it is within the recommended wattage range of your atomizer coil. Open the airflow and adjust to taste - a closed airflow will increase the heat generated by the coil due to the lack of airflow passing through the coil to cool it down. If the atomizer is very hot, the vaporizer can potentially malfunction. Please disconnect the atomizer immediately in this event and store the vaporizer safely until it has cooled down.
What does Check Atomizer mean?
Check atomizer is a common error message that lets you know when there is an issue with your coil or the connection of your atomizer to your vaporizer. Check that the 510 connector is clean of debris, e-liquid, and condensation. Check that both the coil and 510 connector threads and pins are undamaged. Ensure that the coil is properly inserted within your pod or atomizer. Check that there is no coil wire touching the tank or a metallic surface which would cause an “Atomizer Short.” Replace the coil with a new coil as a final step.
The device is ‘autofiring’ the atomizer when the button is not pressed.
The device may be malfunctioning or damaged. Please disconnect the atomizer immediately and store the vaporizer in a nonflammable environment, such as a fire retardant bag or container, and then continue to contact our Regional Support for more assistance.
What is a 510 connector? Does my atomizer/vaporizer have one?
The Proton Mini uses a high quality standard 510 connection, the standard threading for most vaporizers and tanks.
The tank is stuck on the vaporizer and won’t unstuck.
When attaching the tank to the vaporizer, be careful not to over tighten it to the Proton Mini. If the tank will not budge free try gripping the base of the tank in one hand with a towel or rubber latex gloves. With your other hand, use a towel or rubber latex gloves to twist the tank counter-clockwise to unscrew. If this does not work, we recommend putting your tank into your freezer for about 10 to 15 minutes and then try the process over again. Be careful not to spill e-liquid when opening the tank.
What battery safety and overheating features does this vaporizer have?
The Proton Mini is equipped with a full range of integrated safety protections you’d expect from Innokin: Overheat protection, Charging protection, Short circuit protection, High Resistance protection, Cut-Off protection and Over-discharge protection.
What is the best way to clean an Innokin Vaporizer?
Use a microfiber cleaning cloth with a small amount of soap and water or alcohol to clean the outside of your Innokin vaporizer. Remember to always turn the device off when storing it in a bag, purse, backpack or pocket. Do not store the vaporizer with keys, loose change, or other similar objects that could be abrasive to the device when stored. Ensure the 510 connection is kept clean and free of dirt, dust, e-liquid, and condensation regularly. A cotton swab and small amount of isopropyl alcohol can be used to wipe the 510 connector threads clean of your Innokin vaporizer. Check the microUSB charging port for debris and use a compressed air canister to blow away any potential debris found within the connector. Use a compressed air canister to clean the joystick if the action feels “grindy” or irregular. Allow the vaporizer to fully dry after cleaning before turning it on for use.
How can I maintain the Innokin vaporizer to maximize it’s lifespan?
Clean your atomizer and replace your coil each time you change e-liquid flavors. This will ensure you’ll have the purest taste for the flavour of your choosing. Power off your vaporizer when not in use to not only preserve battery life, but also increase the longevity of your battery as well. Limit your overall use of the “Vape While Charging” feature to reduce stress on your battery health. Do not allow the vaporizer battery to become totally discharged. If the battery is left empty for extended periods of time then it may become inoperable. Do not continue to charge the battery for extended periods of time and never leave the battery charging unattended. Store your vaporizer in a cool, dry place when not in use. Excessive heat will damage the device. Do not store the vaporizer in your car during hot days. To preserve the finish of your vaporizer, do not store the vaporizer with keys, loose change, or other similar objects that could be abrasive to the device while in a pocket or bag. Ensure that the 510 connection is kept clean and free of dirt, dust, e-liquid, and condensation regularly. A cotton swab and small amount of isopropyl alcohol can be used to wipe the 510 connector threads clean of your Innokin vaporizer. When charging the device with a microUSB cable, ensure that the port and cable are clean and undamaged and do not force with too much strength on both the USB port and microUSB cable or they may become damaged and inoperable.
